Welp, I finally finished the Ultra Beast sidequest in Moon yesterday... I'd gotten started on it a while ago, but kept putting it off.
Going to discuss it a bit here; I guess there's some mild spoilers, but I'll try to word things in a way that doesn't give away too much of the "big" stuff.
Anyway, it was a lot more fun than I'd expected it to be. Nanu getting some more exposure in it was great, since he's one of my favorite characters of this gen. And of course, Looker getting some more backstory is always great.
It felt a little underwhelming at times, though. It's nice that we had Wicke to give us extra info on the Ultra Beasts, but overall things didn't really feel as... pressing, I guess, as the game set it up to be? Like, I think it would've been interesting to actually chase the Ultra Beasts between places, instead of having all of them be available in the same area. I guess that's fairly minor, though.
What I'm really glad about, though, is the fact that certain things that had made me reluctant to finish the UB sidequest seem to be out-of-control fan theories. I guess I can see how people thought these things were canon, if you squint really hard at things that were stated about Anabel. It feels more to me like things that could happen, though, especially if we take into account that if a multi-verse exists in Pokémon, then the nature of a multi-verse suggests... well... literally infinite verses.
Don't want to say too much more for those who may not have finished SM yet... But my opinion of this game is now better than I thought it would be. Still, probably going to give myself a little break from it for a while so I can really think about it and such.
Also, I recently started on a Wedlocke in Omega Ruby, so I want to play that some more and finish it up. It's the first time I've tried a Wedlocke, and it's been pretty interesting! I think I like "regular" Nuzlockes a bit better, but it's still been fun to try something different. I'm going to dedicate some time to playing that, and then I kind of want to play either one of the Unova or Kalos games again. Gens 3, 5, and 6 are my top three favorites, so I should really play those more than I have lately.
Anyway, happy gaming to everyone, and I hope that everyone who has a Gen 7 game already has had fun with it~

Commission Question
So, another quick q, for those of you who either buy or sell a lot of commissions: What kind of stuff do you usually like to buy / have the most success selling? Kinda thinking of having commissions open, not really sure where/how to start. They'd probably be fairly cheap starting out, around $10 or so, and in my usual pen drawing style. Like this: I could move on to more complex stuff eventually, just some things to start off here. And of course if I were to seriously do this, I would have to get up a small list of stuff I'm comfortable/not comfortable doing. This is just kinda... gauging opinions, trying to get some ideas, and stuff. The Etsy shop's not off the table, I just wanna get a decent amount of stuff made beforehand if I do that, and have more options open in general. Or if you'd just like to toss a few bucks my way in general (buying more pens/sketchbooks is good for more drawings!), the Ko-Fi is still over here: https://ko-fi.com/citruschickadee So, uh, yeah
Ko-Fi link + Etsy question
Buy me a coffee, pls?? So, uh, tl;dr - I'm a bit strapped for cash at the moment. This definitely isn't an "everybody give me $100 right now" or anything, but if you like my stuff and have some spare change sitting around, you know. Throwing some support my way would be really appreciated. Also, quick q for those of you familiar with Etsy: Is it easy to use / free / etc.? I've been considering opening an Etsy shop, probably pretty small stuff, at least to start with, so any kind of general suggestions and such would also be very helpful.
Talk games to me
Hey, guys. 'sup? Been a hot minute since I made a journal, but I need people to talk games with. So, to my followers who play games: what've you been playing lately? Personally, for the past few weeks, I've put the most time into... :bulletorange: Animal Crossing: New Horizons. I still like to check in on my island and make changes to it every now and then. Also in the process of swapping out a couple of my villagers atm. :bulletblue: Octopath Traveler II. Just finished my third playthrough (RIFP :') ) a few days ago. :bulletorange: Triangle Strategy. Started up yet another run after finishing OTII. :bulletblue: And while I haven't actually played a huge ton recently, I did pick up the DLC for Pokémon Scarlet/Violet the other day. I think it's gonna be live here in a couple days, so I'm definitely gonna be putting some time into it then. So tell me what's up with you guys, maybe give me some recs, etc.!
Legends: Arceus ramblings
Another journal? In a short amount of time? Whoa. Anyway, as you can guess from the title, I got around to picking up this lovely game today. I'm a couple days late to the party, so I'm not too far in yet. I'm still in Tutorial Land at the moment (though probably almost out of it), but what I've seen of it so far has been pretty fun. I picked Cyndaquil as my starter, because of course it's the Best Choice of the available three. Also, the intro scene reminds me a lot of the Mystery Dungeon series, so that should be rather... interesting, given the implication that this takes place way in the past. The option to just catch stuff on the overworld vs. the classic battle-to-catch system is also a neat little choice that should be fun. So if anyone else has the game and wants to ramble about it, feel free! Try not to go too crazy on the spoilers, but I don't mind a few small ones here and there.
